My summer will officially start next Friday 22nd June! I haven't been so excited in such a long time! Next Friday at 12:15pm, I'll be on the plane on my own for the very first time & on my way to SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. LOL, I still can't believe it, you know! Since the beginning of this year, I told myself that I would gain opportunities like no other this year and I felt this was the year that would change my whole perspective on life and it certainly has!
It' CRAZY to think how strong the power of the internet is and how we're able to form such strong friendships through social networks such as Tumblr. I'm so happy that our generation has made communicating with people from all over the world so accessible and easy. Without this, I wouldn't have been able to meet the amazing people I've met and I most certainly wouldn't be able to go all the way to California without them.
Earlier this year I got to know one of my followers/someone I follow - Alyssa. and since then we've become like sisters and we have such a strong friendship even with the 8 hour time difference and distance between us:

We were talking about seeing each other for ages, on the phone, texting, skyping, Facebook messaging, etc... But I never thought it'd be able to happen so soon, so I'm so excited that it's confirmed that I will be seeing her this month! :D I still can't believe how cool this is, hah. It's such an interesting story to tell & when it comes down to me settling down in the future, I can't wait to tell this story to my life partner & kids! :') It's so nice that even though we are worlds apart, I got the opportunity to get to know her family and close friends too and although I haven't met any of them personally, I feel like I know them so well already. As she has met my close friends and family too. :)
After I come back from Cali, it'll be nice to spend time with my close friends for a couple of weeks before I go off to Italy, on August 1st! :') I'm so excited about that too! I'm going with my high school best friend and my mum and I know I'll have a great time! :')
Then when I come back, I'll have the celebration of my Godson - Jericho Jan's christening to attend, which I know will be great fun too! :') & once all that's done, it'll be time for me to wind myself down and prepare myself for UNIVERSITY LIFE. ahhhs.
I thank God for blessing me with so many opportunities! I'm so excited for this summer and I hope it's as good as it sounds! ahhh. :')
