Banished to a world without masked superheroes, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne must find a way to survive on their own. This Fanwork Friday we're reading Exiled Robins by Cdelphiki.

This series begins with the main novel-length fic Life Happens, and continues with several companion stories, and one AU of the original story. It is well loved within Batfamily fandom, and is known for the development of Tim and Damian's relationship, as well as for eliciting strong emotional reactions, with some fans claiming this is the only fic that ever made them cry!

I love sword/shield. I haven’t played pokemon games in probably 10 years but I saw my dad playing this one and i ended up impulse buying a switch just so I could play. It’s amazing. I have so much fun going around and collecting all the cute pokemon and giving them stupid names, and beating Leon was like my life MISSION there for a while. lmao I hated him for no reason from the start.

Yep, I can definitely tell that collecting critters and giving them dumb names is going to be a big reason for me to love this game, lol. Kinda like how I love having tons of rodents as pets and coming up with names for all of them. 

1. What was your first fic and could you stand to reread it today?

Before I could write, I “wrote” a Zelda fanfiction in a notebook, making scribbles that I thought looked like my mom’s cursive handwriting. I drew little pictures. I had the whole story in my head, and I could see it while looking at my scribbles and pictures. It followed Link after the game ended. The very first NES game, btw, as that was the only game that existed at the time. I had watched my dad and uncle play it in our semi-furnished basement, and of course I was enamored with the heroic little elf boy making his way across the landscape fighting monsters and saving princesses.

I vaguely remember that Link got badly wounded and had to hole up in a cave to recover. Yes, I was writing hurt/comfort fanfiction when I was a literal baby. 

I don’t know what happened to that notebook, but even if I had it, it would be literally impossible to read it. I kind of wish it had been written in words just so I could see what kindergartner me wrote about Link.

10. Have you ever written for a fandom without reading other fanfic for it?

Yeah, mostly prompt fics for small fandoms where i liked the show but didn’t read fanfiction or anything else super deep in the fandom. I wrote kind of a longish one-shot for JoJo once just because something happened in an episode that really bothered me. I have never written or read any other fanfiction for that show.

29. Does the division of your writing across fandoms line up with your reading? What’s the biggest discrepancy?

@cdelphiki comic proof that Dami is a total musical theatre nerd!! (You've probably already seen this screen shot but it made me think of you lol)

Speaking of which, Life Happens destroyed me and then put me back together and it's been on my mind almost everyday since I finished reading it a couple weeks ago! I just can't stop thinking about the character growth of Tim&Dami. Tim especially, becoming a parent... Jeez... I wish I could put the feels into words but like, it's just so overwhelming I can't. And of course, like many others have said, the phrase "You're my favorite" has forever been changed!

When I first saw this I thought, oh no, I’m not sure I’ve ever used the word slap. Turns out I used the word slap three times in the first document I checked so that’s a thing. XDSomething brushed against his leg and he nearly jumped out of his skin. He slapped both hands over his mouth, too late to stop the high-pitched screech that probably let every villain in the park know he was there, and stared down into the shadows. A pair of disembodied yellow eyes blinked back at him.

Oh god, it was a sentient man-eating shadow.
