i have some thoughts tumbling my brain (mostly about acapulco of course):
- first off, liked it better the second time around. for what reason, i do not know. obv not like,,, my favorite movie because of all the graphic violence & some moments feeling stale but i still enjoy the concept n such
- the aesthetics they put on him to play acapulco work to play the arms dealer that he is but then you hear charlieās voice and it kinda ruins the illusion. but in a way, it adds to the theatrics. also thereās like 2 or 3 yelling moments where charlieās voice is almost. normal
- speaking of the solidity of his character... he actually wasnāt as bitchy as i had remembered. like. of course, still a little bastard baby but not like. to the degree that my brain was conjuring. to which i have to solidify that in my cdcu character list, i do like him more than jason from the hollars. jason, again, is an asshole that i do not want to put up with. now i know thatās probably the scriptās fault, not charlieās, but. i still think that after whats-his-face told him nothing would happen between gwen(?) & himself, jason should have. chilled out. also shouldnāt have been an asshole to his baby
- this one is just a more funny idea than any sort of analysis.... jean/mrs. thomas/āānurseāā/whatever you want to call her told acapulco, after patching his keloid scar(s), that heād only be left with partial sight (i mean given the excess blood in the white of his eye & the split pupil, i can see it). which means his depth perception would probably be off, therefore becoming another liam mcpoyle situation. i mean. in the least he still has his eye and would therefore still have some perception, but still. and in a way it almost kinda makes his comment on people using whatever-the-hell-gun while having shit aim almost ironic. i mean his aim really was kinda shit, and he admitted that, but now i imagine it was partly the partial sight
