when you died and were brought back to life against your will and you're really really scared you came back wrong or have been changed and there's one person who you trust to tell you you're still you. but then you find out she had a hand in bringing you back to life against your will and while you were dead she became a different darker person 😁 and the parts of her you still recognize make it more frightening.

i think basically cc's relationship deal is she has spent the past three decades only really interacting with other soldiers and puts them all in the off limits physically incapable of perceiving them sexually fraternization no go zone. Possibly a dead wife thing going on here w someone who didn't survive akuze also? esp w people younger than her she very much positions herself as the Dependable Commanding Officer and maybe if she likes you might adopt a mentorial vibe but it all remains very professional. and then liara really fucks with all that on account of being a civilian scientist who is literally older but technically relatively younger than her and it made cc feel funny when she said she wanted to study her like a bug. Also while i got taken so off guard by the sha'ira sex i think it's so fucking funny if she and cc did fuck and kaidan and ashley do know about it and she's really worried they're going to accuse her of asari fetishizing

cc was like if liara is still grieving me and unable to move on i will be destroyed, but if she has moved on and found happiness in a life without me in it i will also be destroyed. and then got the worst of both worlds where liara directly tells her I gave your body to cerberus because they said they could bring you back and I couldn't let you go, and at the same time she has changed dramatically from the person cc knew and is keeping her at arm's length but she clearly isn't happy. like what the fuck are either of them supposed to do . what if you succeeded in bringing your wife back to life but of course that meant not looking back at her . for two years. like what are you supposed to do when you were dead for two years but in your perception no time has passed at all except that it clearly has because the moment you saw a familiar face you could tell he looked Different. you went into your relationship knowing that you were both risking your lives for your mission and even in the best case scenario you would be together for a tiny fraction of her life. and the only thing you know about her now that you've come back from the dead is that there were two years she must have mourned you. you want to know how she is more than anything and you know no matter what you find out it will wreck you so actually don't even worry about it. you don't know. it's fine!! you don't know!!!! probably the illusive man was lying about her dealing with the shadow broker for reasons that are just inscrutable to you right now!!! it's fine!!!! you have a job to do you love having a job to do!!!!
