Slender fingers tugged slightly upon the male's sleeve, as she refused to look at him. And so, she had her gaze lowered, staring at the ground. It was apparent that apprehension was the perfect word to describe her. She hated to look like a burden, but she couldn't let herself become a Demon's victim. This man who had a similar scent with Gray, seemingly enjoyed throwing threatening words at her. And now, she needed the courage to speak up. "U-- Uhm, Laxus-san-- I, uhm-- I need some h-help.. "
Laxus had already made a vow to help out Wendy in an hour of need, and he was the sort that did not let these vows lapse. So, when Wendy approached him, timid and all, he bent down to listen to her request. If she was coming to him, of all people, then there was worth in listening what she had to say. With her call for help, any other tasks of the day were shoved aside, only to be replaced with duty.
"Someone giving you a hard time, Wendy? Just point me in a direction, and give me a name. I’ll make sure your problems get put to a dead halt.”
