âŠWhen it came down to it, he probably shouldnât have surprised her out of the blue like that, but they were both alone and Kotoko just looked so breathtaking while basking amidst the sunset, he couldnât quite help himself from taking her by the chin before scooting forward to interlock his lips with hers in a long, affectionate kiss.
Sure, it was impulsive and sure, he wasnât entirely thinking; only, it was as if by looking at her, desire practically consumed him, that the next thing he knew, something seized control of his body, to the point where his rationality became completely thrown out of the window, replaced by sheer, unfiltered instinct.
Honestly, by the time he finally leans back while tenderly stroking his fingers along her cheek as though he were Romeo, reunited with his long, lost love, Kobato realizes too late he probably crossed the point of no return. Still, hearing her speak those words was enough to make him sport a toothy grin.
Of course, the whole entire time, his cheeks would remain a rosy, magenta hue⊠for he was drunk from both the adrenaline and her warmth that enveloped his mouth.
Could this be love? Or lust? Either way, Kobato thinks he could spend an entire lifetime, being lost in Kotokoâs gaze.
âI dunno. Are we?â Ultimately, he wasnât so sure either⊠and he was the one who practically kissed her senseless. âSorry, Yuzurin. Itâs just⊠seeing you, surrounded by the soft, dazzling light of the rising sunset like that? It made me fall for you all over again. If you wanted to be my girl, though, I think Iâd be the happiest man aliveâŠâ
-- sheâs sure, she has to be losing her mind. she didnât even know why she was hanging out with him. ( well, she did. heâs okay when he isnât being unreasonably horny and weird. heâs okay then, too - but - agh. she canât even justify it to herself. )
and when they were just sitting in silence, staring at some sunset, hugging her legs to her chest, she doesnât quite mind his presence. really, itâs almost comforting to not be alone. Kotoko never really had any friends, she was a lone wolf through and through ( and she didnât mind it that way ), but sometimes she did want a pack. to guide her. and to fall back on.
well, she did have Eiji, but.. she couldnât be attached to his hip all the time, could she? he had a life of his own. and so did she. and their interests differed a lot of the time. he was fun to debate with, and converse with, and despite their differing ways of doing things and goals, they got along well.
Kobato - wasnât really alike her in personality. heâs always searching for something. for someone to complete him. ( to make him feel enough. ) Kotoko never understood that sentiment. ( she did, however, understand his hunger. lust is a rare emotion that she can understand - itâs another hunger that settles in her gut, that she really shouldnât indulge in. )
but yet, she was very surprised when suddenly his hand was at her chin. and he scoots closer. and heâs pressing his lips to her, and her instinct is to recoil. ( because, what the hell? their conversation had gone silent for a good minute, so he caught her very off-guard. she didnât expect that, at all. ) but she doesnât. instead, her cheeks paint a faint red and she kisses back, as if a little entranced by the kiss.
when they part, she presses her lips together, raising a hand to cover her mouth, as if to prevent him from kissing her again, but sheâs leaning into the hand caressing her cheek enough to tell him that she wasnât mad at him. ( if it wasnât already clear by the fact she hasnât slapped him across the face. which was what she thought sheâd do, if she knew this was going to happen. )
she doesnât know why she said that, though. maybe she was simply at a loss of words. Kotoko doesnât feel love. she doesnât think she does. at the very least, not in the traditional way. not in the way itâs always portrayed. she does know, that her heart is skipping a beat, but perhaps that was only the lust, the hunger for another that the kiss awakened.
but was that the full truth? she doesnât know. she doesnât know and itâs slightly scary. she watches him basically light up like a light bulb, smile brighter than the sun setting in the distance. really now.. she canât help but huff a laugh as well, her lips finally settling on a smile.
-- â charmer. â she snorts, chewing on her lower lip momentarily, her hand lowering only slightly. â that was quite the kiss, if weâre not. âÂ
