#ReadThisBook or really read these three books: March I, II, & III by John Lewis (D- GA 5th). I feel like though I was taught about the Civil Rights Movement in school, nothing has really put it in perspective for me like his books, Ava Duvernay's Selma, & the Center for Civil and Human Rights. All have made me cry in public and you should read/see them all. It's hard to believe all of this only happened a little over 50 years ago. Worth the hype. Everyone please read Angie Thomas's "The Hate U Give." I think it creates a true depiction of a not-so-great, but real America. The writing is telling and the subjects Marina Keegan displays in her works of non fiction or fiction are incredibly relatable. I’m happy to be inspired by someone of my own age with so much talent and a great understanding of the world.
