Warlord No. 627, dated 27 September 1986. No big announcement but this was the final issue. From 5p in 1974 to 22p in 1986. Fittingly Jeff Bevan, Warlord's most prolific cover artist, provided this Bligh of the Fastsure cover as well as art on the interior strip. His first cover, as far as I can tell, was on No. 13 in 1974.
The other strips inside this final issue were:
Code-name Warlord - a reprint from an earlier issue featuring art by Franc Fuentes Man.
Catfoot - WW2 set adventure featuring Corporal Catfoot of the US Army Military Police.
Grimm's Gunners.
The Paras.
The Bonzo Express.

Warlord No. 626, dated 20 September 1986. Catfoot cover by Ian Kennedy. This was the penultimate issue of the title and the last one with an Ian Kennedy cover (his first was on No. 11 back in 1974).

Warlord No. 414, dated 28 August 1982. Catfoot cover by Jeff Bevan.
D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd.
Warlord No. 406, 3 July 1982. 'The Fighting Condor' cover by Mike Dorey. It's actually artwork from an interior panel by Dorey that will appear in No. 407.
This issue's Big Willi strip saw the last UK comics work of Argentinian artist Alberto Salinas. I believe his departure was related to the Falklands War which had recently ended. He had produced outstanding work on many DC Thomson strips such as Big Willi (his final three panels below), Sgt Rayker and The Mantracker. He died in 2005.
Starting Next Week - Catfoot. The ad is by Ian Kennedy although he didn't provide the interior for the story.
