i’m feeling really pants tonight so i wanted to try and spread some cheer in the form of a larry fic rec! these are just a few of the ones i’ve read recently, after going through a fic drought in may and june while i was writing!

+ i believe him when he tells of loving me | bitterlee

this was absolutely beautiful, and you don’t need little old me to tell you that, this fic is getting rave reviews over my dash and even though it hurts (chapters 11 and 12 in particular) this one is definitely worth a read. the descriptive language and the imagery is beautiful, and the pace is perfect. it will make your heart hurt, but in a good way because the ending (at least at that moment in the characters’ lives) is picture perfect.

+ the world will open its arms | lululawrence

mpreg, but slightly different. this one is mpreg within an ABO universe, and I just love the imagery that this fic presents. i generally like my 1D fic to be set in the uk, but when it’s clear from the outset that it’s an american au i don’t mind it, and the vibe of this fic – late night, diner in a small town – just had me hooked. very nice fluffy little fic, with a  nice open (happy) ending that you can do with what your please! a lovely read!

+ in circles of you and me | theweightofmywords

for some reason i downloaded this and then abandoned it because i misread the tags and clearly didn’t read the summary properly, so thought it was a canon fic (i’m not the biggest fan of those). fast forward to this year and i found it again deep in my dropbox. i let myself read on further than the first  few paragraphs and I was very quickly hooked. the angst of FWB and dealing with hormones/emotions/feelings absolutely FUELS me in fics, and this was superb. definitely check it out!

+ you came along and moved me, honey | flowercrownclem

this one was different! a very light, fluffy read with a lot of funny moments, and a really unique conclusion. read it, you won’t regret it!

+ driving on the wrong side, thinking of you | dinosaursmate

my old faithful strikes again! sixth form au’s are my absolute favourite i think, and despite never having read a louis/marcel fic before, i loved this! geek!harry is one thing but marcel is a whole other! loved this a lot, louis’ character was such a sweetheart.

+ i left my heart in melbourne | emmylouwho

i’ve never read a fic where they’re australian i don’t think! this was a really unique concept and a lovely little read! i just wish it was longer, i was so surprised to reach the end so soon, a sign of a good fic!

+ among friends | secretswekeepxx

this was completely lovely, you root for the characters to get their arses in gear and realise what’s in front of their eyes! and totally cute side!nialee. PS - liam will break your heart.

+ fight with me fight for me | ladylondonderry

girl direction! this is set around guy fawkes night which is one of my personal favourite days and something i think makes a lovely setting for a fic because of the imagery and the romance of fireworks, and this does not disappoint! go give it a go if it’s your cuppa tea - even if it isn’t!

+ down in atlantis | polka_stripes

this one felt all moody and atmospheric and a little bit thrilling, but it’s not too dark. i couldn't wait to see what was coming next. the writing style is really interesting too! (warning for implied/referenced self harm)

first of all, this message could be about any number of things from the last few days, but i assume it’s about @catfishau kk and this post, which means you’re probably the spoooooooky (oh, how seasonally appropriate!) mysterious anonymous person who claims that kk plagiarized their fic(s?). or i suppose you could be someone pissed at me about the age restriction on big bang or someone mad about something else that i’ve done or said (lobster daddy louis maybe?). who knows, tbh.

the thing is, my dude, that i won’t be embarrassed about defending my friend from AN ANONYMOUS NASTY PERSON ON THE INTERNET. because that is what you are. and i have no reason to believe anything that you say about anything. you’re a gray circle with sunglasses.
