I think that Mao Mao and his friends hate Ruffus and Reggie more than they hate the sky pirates. The scammers pretend to be good to gain trust from the ones who believe them to steal from them unlike the sky pirates who show their true intentions without pretending. Adorabat fell for tricks of the fox and the raccoon and believed that the two were good unlike Mao Mao who already knew that the two were criminals. When the bat realised that the two people who she trusted were actually scammers she was mad, so mad that she beaten them up all by herself. Mao Mao was also mad at the criminal duo. They were taking advantage of Adorabat’s trust and we know that the bat is very important to Mao Mao. Sky pirates never tried to use someone’s trust for their needs especially Adorabat’s. Sky pirates never hid the fact that they were evil unlike Ruffus and Reggie who were ready to use a trust of a child for their goals.
