family owns a huge ranch north of La Sede del Sole and supplies a large number of horses for the Hierocracy's armies, including extremely fine & unique steeds for commanders.

His personal horse is a blue roan Percheron mare named A Thick Fog Settled in the Crevasses Between Mountains, or Fog for short.

His mother, Ramona, is alive and well, age 72. She paints, mostly landscapes and horses; hosts elaborate balls and dinner parties; and, of course, rides. Her horse is a perlino Andelusian gelding named Sun-Bleached Ivory Found Between the Rocks.

His father, Vittorio, died at the age of 58, 17 years ago. He was kicked in the head by an energetic young stallion that Leo was breaking and killed instantly. The horse, a palomino Thoroughbred named The Glare of Sol on a Clear Cold Morning, became Leo's personal steed for fifteen years, and is living happily in retirement on the Uberti Ranch.

Leo joined the Hierocracy infantry shortly after his father died, at the age of 22. He chose not to join the cavalry, despite his familiarity with horses, because he didn't want to experience an animal dying beneath him.

His older sister and only sibling, Ilaria, 42, now manages the ranch. Ilaria is only slightly shorter than Leo, and only slightly less of a tank. She's also lesbian married to a Firstborn woman named Sæla Caspardottir. They have a sidepiece named Aleksei Døvigen. Nobody's quite sure what's going on there, but he fathered two of their kids. Ilaria and Sæla have each born one. Their oldest child is Leo's biological daughter, who they adopted.

Leo got a farmhand girl, Anita, pregnant when they were seventeen. It was consensual, they just weren't careful enough. His father wanted nothing to do with the situation, but his mother and older sister took Anita under their wings. When Ilaria got married at 22, she and her wife adopted the girl. (Anita left the ranch shortly after her child was adopted by Ilaria and Sæla. Nobody has heard from her since.)

He tops when people want him to, but he's a bottom at heart. Also, bisexual with a strong preferance for men.

His grandfather on his mother's side was from the Jarldom of the Firstborn.

The resting bitch face on this guy goes crazy. He's autistic as hell, but there's no such thing as a "mental health diagnosis" in Vanitera. He only drops the stony façade when he's with close friends, or in the heat of battle, where he goes just. Just a little berserk.
