So as we watch the first trailer, we find a gas mask in one of the rooms with toys in the background. But we all know these toys are alive right? Or at least most of them. This may seem obvious but as we see the VHS for “Smiling Critters”, we see some kind of gas going out of Cat naps mouth. Making the characters “Fall Asleep”. And as we see this Gas mask from the first trailer, I’m assuming that the player in the game will use this so they don’t inhale the toxic gas coming from the smiling critters mouth.

I think how that the dead toys in the background from the first trailer may have been some of their victims. I can’t be THAT sure though, but overall I found another scene in the trailer that shows a dead Huggy with its decapitated head on a stake. I think theirs a rivalry on this between most of the toys or it’s the first subject we’ve seen in chapter one called “The Prototype”. The prototype may have been doing something with each of the dismembered killed toys. So either the toys are being hunted, or there’s some kind of war going on between them ever sense poppy was released from her casing.
