Looks like this cat is on for olympics! 

Each greenleaf, probably four moons into the season (end of July, beginning of August), apprentices would compete to be the Champion of their respective clans.

There'd probably be an age limit, no younger than 10 moons by the day of the gathering. In addition, each clan would have to have at least three apprentices in order to compete.

If a cat became an apprentice in say Leaf-fall, they would have the most time to train and prepare which would make them more likely to be chosen over the cats made apprentices in newleaf who hadn't been training for very long. There have been cases where an apprentice would either beg for their warrior ceremony to be put off, or would sabotage their own assessments in order to compete. Or in other instances, a leader may choose to put it off if there were no kits ready to be apprenticed and had enough time to train for the daylight gathering.

What would be the prize? So y'all know how trips to the moonpool never became a thing? Well that's why apprentices would want to stay as apprentices until the gathering.

The four (and later five) Champions would get to visit the moonpool and receive their warrior names from starclan, and would also get to have a glimpse into their clans future.
