Hello, everyone!

A dangerous fight lies ahead, the heroes are ready. The mighty dragon awaits them, eager to defend its territory and show those pesky adventurers who’s boss.

Fortunately for the party, a group of friends has been able to quickly set up a series of devices to aid them on their fight. The dragon, taken by surprise, furiously launches its attacks upon them.

This will not be easy, and the fate of the whole realm is at stake.

Based on Castle Schrade from Monster Hunter.

The creature tokens for this map are a Celestial Dragon Aspect, a Celestial Dragon Guard and a Dragon Hybrid. Emerald tier gets the Celestial Dragon Guard while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.

How this story begins will no doubt be familiar to you. A Maximal research patrol was dispatched to pursue a ship full of rogue Predacons through a portal to the past. The planet they found there was rich in fuel, not energon, but a form of Bioenergy that flowed through the planet’s veins like blood. In order to imbibe this fuel and survive this unknown world, both crews had no choice but to take on beast modes mimicking the native creatures of the planet.

But unlike planet Earth, full of beasts so reminiscent of Cybertronian mechafauna, this world was home to monsters, creatures of great size and elemental power fuelled by the circle of life and the Bioenergy that dwelled below them. Thus, Optimus Primal and his team of Rhenox, Kadachitor and Cattrap set forth to do battle with Devil “Jho” Convoy’s Predacon gang.

This Monster War posed unique challenges for both sides. Optimus Primal’s mighty Rajang mode outclassed almost all other combatants, leaving Predacons like Vespinator, Garugasaur and Nerantulas having to be wheeled home more often than not. On the other hand, its natural instincts forced the otherwise level-headed and wise leader into berserker rages during times of great peril, much to the chagrin of the turncoat Wyvobot, who had purposely taken a weak Great Jaggi form to prove that the skills of the ‘bot mattered more than the Skills granted to them by their monster modes. 

This Cybertronian Frenzy state caused greater problems as new protoforms awakened across the planet. Bots like Hypnorazor, Lalarachnia and Bariotron awoke only half cognizant of their true nature, and had to be hunted down and forced out of their madness before they would join their faction. What’s more, these free agents were tracked not just by the Maximals and Predacons, but human hunters as well, tiny beings who were nonetheless empowered by the armor forged from natural life just as the Transformers were. It was their presence that brought the truth to the Maximals. This was the planet where their Autobot ancestors had awoken and joined forces with the same humans, who combined artisan weaponry and ancient technology to rout the Decepticons for good in a final hunt.  

As the Monster Wars reached a fever pitch, both sides made their way to the Elder’s Recess, where according to legend a “Sapphire Star” had crash-landed thousands of years ago. In truth, this star was the Autobot’s Ark, and Jho Convoy had come to slay his ancestors’ hated enemies. As Optimus Primal fought him at a fever pitch to prevent the death of his namesake, the natural Bioenergy currents reacted with the Matrix of Leadership held within the Autobot commander’s chest. Having been reformatted into the shape of one of the apex predators of the Recess, Rathalos Prime awakened and helped his descendant beat back Jho Convoy.

Well. There was the demise of it years before our hunter arrived. I feel like the EDW is the reason behind it's true anger towards humans but with the stuff we saw in world that creatures vanish and such. Maybe Schrade is built upon the place that was once home to Fatalis as a species. And when the castle was built many had left already and returned to see what the people had there.

I would like to know when it's destruction happened and if there ever was an attempt to retake the castle after the fact cause we've been told that both sides of the Schrade region refuse to try and take the castle back.

Maybe at one time Fatalis was peaceful towards humans but we probably will never know.

And as the commander said in Iceborne. "Fatalis was never the name of the beast. It was a word to describe an event but it eventually became a name for the beast." So it does raise the question... what was its name?

One last thing (not really anything to do with the ask but it does bring up an question) how did the barricade form in front of the dragonator in the castle? Cause it seems like it was built there for some reason by someone or something.

Free Monster Hunter World Iceborne Update 5 Introducing Fatalis Releases on October 1st; Release Notes Inside

The fifth free title update for Monster Hunter World Iceborne is arriving on October 1, Capcom has confirmed.

Title update 5 for the Iceborne expansion will introduce legendary black Dragon ‘Fatalis’ alongside her hunter armor and all-new weapons to players to craft from Fatalis materials. The legendary dragon can be faced in the ruins of Castle Schrade with players have plenty of weapons at their disposal. “

“This update adds a new special assignment that will bring you toe-to-toe with the legendary Fatalis!”, Capcom writes. “Fatalis will be available after finishing the story of Iceborne and completing the Alatreon investigation.”

Aside from the new content mentioned above, Monster Hunter World Iceborne Update 5 will also pack bug fixes and various other adjustments. We’ve included a list of the upcoming changes and adjustments down below.

Main Additions / Changes

General

Fatalis has been added. (Fatalis will be available after finishing the story of Iceborne and completing the Alatreon investigation)

Arch-tempered Velkhana has been added and will be available in a limited-time event quest. (Check www.monsterhunter.com for schedule details)

Action

Clutch Claw Boost skill added, allowing you to wound monsters easier

System

Soul Stream III has been added to the First Wyverian Ritual at the Elder Melder.

You can now use rarity 9 decorations and higher as materials at the Elder Melder.

The following decorations can now be melded at the Elder Melder: Elementless Jewel 2, Shield Jewel 2, Sharp Jewel 2, Dragonseal Jewel 3, Mighty Bow Jewel 2, and Mind’s Eye Jewel 2.

New BGM can now be played in your room in Seliana.

New designs for the Squad Card added.

New layered armor added.

New Pendants added.

Decor can now be obtained from the Steamworks’ Overdrive bonus.

When add-on content that hasn’t been purchased is available,the following menus will let you jump to various purchase pages: Gestures, Poses, Stickers, Change Appearance, Pendant Settings, Change the Handler’s Outfit, Room Customization, Music Player, and Figures.

Miscellaneous

Some parts of previous title updates that had limited voice dialogue now feature fully voiced dialogue.

Extended the time that wounds are visible on monsters.

Increased the chances that high rarity decorations will appear from Carved and Sealed Feystones.

Increased the chances that Sealed Feystones will appear as part of the rewards for threat level 3 tempered master rank investigations.

The following charms have been added: Shaver Charm, Earplugs Charm V, Master’s Charm V, Critical Charm III, Exploiter Charm III, and Handicraft Charm V.

The following decorations have been added: Diversion Jewel 3, Acrobat Jewel 3, and Shaver Jewel 3

Bug Fixes and Balance Adjustments

Bug fixes and other adjustments will be announced at a later date.
