• It’s not like you caught him watching anything bad, but he’s still embarrassed as he stretches and you toe off your shoes to just go sprawling face down on the oversized couch. Huffing out a soft laugh, he climbs up with you and pins you between his frame and the back of the couch. Leaning against you and resting his head on your upper back as you manage a muffled ‘thank you.’ Yawning as he gets comfortable, he can feel your exhausted field washing into him, the rise and fall of your breathing. “Bad day?” He asks and you make another muffled noise that might be a snort. How are you even breathing like that?

• Smiling tiredly when he wiggles against you and shoves his muzzle under your chin against your neck, you sigh and roll over. And he just lays his heavy head against your chest, nose brushing your chin. “Just people being awful,” you answer, reaching to rub one of his soft ears and his rumbling shifts into a deep purring as his tail curls around your ankle. “So what’s up with you watching Animal Planet?” Laughing as he groans and drapes one of his front limbs across you, he vents softly. “There are woods nearby if you need to indulge in your kitty instincts and hunt.” Hadn’t meant to ask, but couldn’t resist teasing him.

• Covering your mouth with a big paw, he huffs through his vents. If you had any idea how many of his organic instincts he had to fight off in a day, you wouldn’t be laughing. Because wanting to hunt and chase isn’t too far off. Letting you push his paw away, he brushes his muzzle against your chin. “It’s not like that. I just get urges sometimes,” he mutters as you resume rubbing one of his ears to make him kick out a back leg. ‘Like the running down and snacking on Bambi kind or-’ You trail off and his embarrassment flares. Doesn’t really want to answer that. For you to look at him differently. Shouldn’t want the things he does. Fantasizing about hunting prey thanks to his organic half, but sometimes in his dreams, he’s hunting you. But in those dreams? It’s not because he’s hungry.
