This beautiful jewel of a person @iamcassiagold made an indelible mark to today's Pain in the Pews: Mental Health and Ministry Chat And Chew! The questions that came from people in attendance showed that people could not only relate, but wanted to know how they to could get help - for themselves and/or their loved ones. Cassia made us all take a second look at mental health, how ministry/church should react to and aid those with mental health issues. Compassion, discernment and knowledge are key. Afterwards, a beautiful seasoned woman came up to me and shared that she's never really told her family, but she could relate to Cassia's journey and was thankful that she was there to hear that she to could be strong and one day could talk about her mental illness - maybe even open up to her family.
