How do you think the turtles + April, Splinter and Casey would help a friend get over smn/get through a breakup? Preferably headcanons bc i have an attention span of like -3 seconds and they're short hhdjsjdnndnx

Thank you. It’s been a rough couple of days, but I’m starting to get better. :)

I usually only do up to four characters, but I’ll make these shorter than normal and do all of them.

I think Leo would give you space, but the second you hint that you want to open up, he’s right there.

Even if you go the “I need to be alone” route, you’ll ‘coincidentally’ find things in your room that you’ve wanted or would be therapeutic for you. (Think a beanbag to throw at the wall or a coloring book.)

If you open up, prepare to feel 10x better afterward. Leo’s not the leader for nothing- he’s amazing at pep talks.

Mikey is, per usual, a ball of sunshine about it.

He can see how much it’s affecting you, and he feels terrible about it, so expect a lot more hugs and shared pizzas when you’re at the lair.

To him, it’s easier to get over someone when you’re having fun.

I can see Raph helping the most through the anger portion- whether that’s being angry at your ex or just angry in general.

You’re always welcome to work out with him. (And if you spar, he’ll let you win by a hair to feel more confident. But he’ll never admit it.)

And of course, he’s open to just talking with you about it. He may be a hot-head, but he’s still an older brother at heart.

When it comes to Donnie, be prepared to see a Therapist Turtle in action.

You don’t have a conversation with him for the next two weeks without him mentioning how amazing you are, how you’ll be able to find someone else (if you want to, of course), how you’ll make it out okay, and just a whole lot of Inspiring Quotes.

It was annoying at first, but once you start to let yourself believe him, the more you cherish those moments.

April is the ultimate emotional support.

You’re angry at your ex? FUCK THEM! You don’t think you can find anyone else? HELL YEAH YOU CAN! YOU’RE PRETTY AS FUCK!

You have a dance party with her at least twice a week. They may be cheesy, but they’re the best fun you’ve had for a while and a nice distraction.

Splinter is tracking you down the instant he learns you’re going through a breakup.

When he finds you, he forces a cup of your favorite tea in your hands and starts his speech.

It’s a bunch of “it may hurt, but it will pass” and “it’s normal to grieve, even though they aren’t dead”.

Will also let you cry in his shoulder

Honestly, Casey avoids you.

He’d like to help, but he doesn’t know what to say, or if him being there would even help you.

If you let him know you’d like to talk to him, prepare yourself for the most heartfelt things Casey has ever said to anyone. There are many points where you wonder if they’re even the same person.

I feel like bc he was alone and exploring abandon places. He would get hurt a lot and just have to clean it up. Eventually he got pretty good cleanin wounds and getting the proper bandages on/ making splints.

Even to the point where he learned how to give himself stitches if needed.

He doesn't bring it up to the group but when someone is hurt he gets to work patching them up.

It slowly becomes a habit that if your hurt you go to Okarun.

16.Biggest and smallest long term goal?

Honestly, Casey’s biggest goal is to rebuild and guard her home town. Since it was destroyed and she took their treasures (the gun and sword she carries) before leaving, she feels guilty for leaving them without any means to defend themselves. Thus, her smallest is to learn to fight.

27. What is their biggest regret?

Not helping to guard the town/her mother. She grew up telling everyone that if anything tried to attack them, she could fight it off because she’s so strong! When the time actually came to stand on the front lines, though, she fled. As a result, her mother died protecting her. That’s a memory that haunts her every day.

34. Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?)

She’s somewhere in the middle? There are things she’d rather nobody ever knew (Her mother’s passing, her inability to cook AND fight, the fact her father still calls her BooBear), but there’s also a VERY large chunk of things she’ll get really ‘TMI’ over. Oh, you left your underwear out by accident? Here, let me tell you a story about my father’s undergarments-

39.What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

Family. Not her birth family; they’re a group of people she has nothing to do with, but the friends she considers family. Affection goes a long way, too; for example, when she’s utterly exhausted, she’ll curl around someone. If they pat her head, that’s even better. Another thing is to see someone smile. One more is the koi pond she found when she was 16; it gives her a sense of peace and tranquility, and allows her to ‘recharge’, so to speak.

48.How do they express love?

AFFECTION. Okay, let me rephrase that: Affection depending on the person. Going on my current rp’s here, someone like Ky is bound to see an influx of his favorite things, like tea and company, and tender smiles. Yato sees constant companionship and kisses/hugs whenever he has time for them, since physical affection is big in that relationship. Gakupo and Len gets snuggles and cuddles. Yukine sees things like picnics, mangas, lots of gifts and time to themselves to bond as brother and sister.

So, honestly, it does depend on the person, but she’s usually more supportive than she would be as just a friend and a bit more physically affectionate.

50.Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?

Depends on when in her life you ask that question. In her early teen years, she would’ve said no. She’d been used in so many ways by so many different people that when she had her near-death experiences, she just wanted it to be over and done with. She wasn’t suicidal, no. But she was tired of being hurt. After death, nobody could hurt her.
