From Long Island to Philadelphia, the vibrant colors of artists Carson Fox and Moe Brooker abound in a new exhibition at Stanek Gallery in Philadelphia. Fox’s laminated and tempered glass “Blue Sky Pursuit” (2009) at the LIRR Seaford station traces the movement paths of birds and butterflies in a bright blue fantasy, while her sculpture and installation works on view at Stanek Gallery also explore the notions of transience, continuity and the passage of time with vibrant colors celebrating nature. Brooker’s hand painted laminated glass “Just Jazz” (2015) at the LIRR Wyandanch station reflects the jazz inspired rhythms and movement that Brooker cites as influencing his free flowing work, while his drawings at Stanek Gallery also represent his “search for the real” through color, rhythm and form.
