oh my god i actually love this question because i’ve been asked a lot recently on wp about her endgame and what was meant to happen to her if i hadn’t discontinued the series. and i’ve also thought a lot about what i would have done differently given i wrote the majority of the series when i was 15-17 and like,,,high school amanda was on some bullshit, so here’s a list:

carson would have had fulfilling friendships with lydia and allison

wouldn’t have spent every waking hour with stiles

less oblivious to stiles’ feelings

would have been more of an overarching conversation about carson’s bisexuality during the early seasons and her realizing she is in fact bi so that i wouldn’t have had to do so much rushed legwork in s4 because that’s what i would have had to do

more original dialogue and only cherrypicking other character’s lines when absolutely necessary

absolutely no descriptions of outfits because dear god i used to polyvore that shit and now i get dragged endlessly

more friendship with scott

season 2 needs a ton of revamping because she felt like wallpaper

make the s3 werewolf arc more her own and not just a copy of other character’s experience with the bite

more time for werewolf mentor moments with derek

reworking the entire isaac/carson relationship because they’re valid but they need a better lead in and context

more development of her relationship with her father as well as her mother so the hallucination scenes in s2 and 3 could be more impactful

in addition, more on carson’s abandonment issues and fears because when i read it over now, it seems to come out of nowhere as opposed to how i want it to be like layered under so readers get more of a vibe for it

less appearing like carson is leaning towards getting back with stiles because fuck a cheater, carson and malia are superior

i never ended up getting to write them, but just the absolute softest, happiest, healthiest relationship for malia and carson with good communication!!!

she’s a slut because she doesn’t want to be with stiles anymore

her being a werewolf is so predictable

her being a werewolf makes no sense

people ship her with derek

people think peter is her dad

people are like oddly obsessive about demanding her to be with stiles

she can’t date malia, she’s obviously straight bc she dated stiles

she can’t be bi if it wasn’t mentioned the SECOND her character was introduced 

(bc it took her 4ish seasons to explore her sexuality and realize that she is, in fact, a card carrying bisexual)

god the amount of biphobic hate she’d get

her and malia is so stupid

people still hc that peter’s her dad

So, Carson actually knows Liam prior to the start of season four. He lives a few houses down across the street and when they were younger, Carson used to babysit for him, even though she was only, like, a good two or three years older than him. They didn’t get along at all (she regards him as her personal Dennis the Menace) and so it makes for a very humorous introduction in season four when he becomes Scott’s beta.
