                      which first meant he was sneaking into his room and sitting on the floor next to the bed waiting for him to wake up . which was taking a long ass time ... 

                    “ hey . dude . you ever gonna wake up ? ” or maybe ace was just early . who knew !

Having been absent for so long Riddle can only imagine what his cards had been up to. He had worried over them in their world, but seeing as there hadn’t been any significant change he played it out. It was easier to focus on the demands of the moment, even if he still had to save his dorm yet again. Perhaps he had thought that this world had been nothing but a nightmare, a nightmare that took part of his memory for he had known nothing of Vil’s overblot until it got mentioned in passing. 

But now that he’s back, he sees that there’s actually much to fret over. The place they had so lovingly called the Heartslabyul dorm was, to put it simply, a mess. To any outsiders perhaps it looked composed, a normal house that showed signs of being lived in but still well kept. To Riddle’s eyes however, it nothing but a wreck. 

The starcycle in the front lawn, the rose bushes pure white without a hint of red, and it only got worse the more he stepped into their home. He laments not having finished the rule book in time before he got thrown away from this world. It was clear the dorm was lawless again. He had to set it right. 

“...deuce?”

the sound of fast approaching footsteps immediately snaps him out of his surprise at the familiar face, and without thinking, epel quickly grabs ahold of the other’s arm, pulling his schoolmate along as he takes off again. 

“shit. we gotta lose 'em!” the thought of explaining doesn’t even cross his mind right now - not when he's so focused with trying to find a way to get out of the situation he’s landed himself - and now, the both of them - in.

darting into the next alleyway, he maneuvers the two of them behind a few dumpsters and leans against the wall to catch his breath. 

It hadn’t quite been a week since Rosho had woken up in this strange place, but he was never the sort to sit and wallow in his own despair. The situation was absolutely upsetting, he missed home and worried about how his students were doing, but if there was something productive he could do in this world, then he was going to find out what that was.

As luck would have it, it turned out that in one of the wards was a university. Rosho was a high school teacher, not a college professor, but at least there was some kind of educational institution here. Something was better than nothing, after all.

It’d been a bit of a journey, but Rosho had made his way to Spirale University, and was currently exploring the campus. Perhaps here he could learn more about this place, or if it came down to it, maybe he could apply for a job as a professor or a tutor. He wasn’t sure if he was qualified to teach math at a university level, but surely he could help out some of those who attended here.

First off, though, he’d need to find out more about this place. Upon spotting someone who looked around student age, Rosho approached, offering a polite smile.

Ardyn feels the stirrings of unrest beneath his skin, a breathing of sorts. It’s daemons that stretch their limbs and threaten to expel themselves through his mouth, say words that he may not mean: he has, of course, no outlet for these in Spirale. A year he’s been confined to the city, and within that year he’s not known peace from the swell of those he collected during his time before Adagium. 

He runs a hand down his sleeve as if to brush off dust that is no longer there. Ardyn hides his skin from the sun and seeks shelter from the light; even now, after Noctis’ inevitable end he harbors residual pain. While Ardyn would never die in the sunlight, he does find the tingle of it immensely dissatisfying.

This is all to say: it is night. Ardyn glides through the darkness like a creature born of it, not one that was forced upon it. He expects no one, so when he sees a young man who looks out of place he pauses.

Perhaps Spirale has softened him. Perhaps he’s bored. He doesn’t think about his motivations, he just steps out of the shadows in front of him and bows, hat in hand.

            laying on the blanket , he finally heard foot steps behind him . he sits up , offering a wave to the other . 

             “ if it isn’t the birthday boy ! happy birthday , dude . ” a hand moves to  pat the spot next to him on the blanket . “ look . i know it’s not too much , but you used to stargaze with your mom , right ? now , i’m most definitely not your mother , but i hope you can still enjoy it . a taste of home , ya know ? ”
