#carer problems

I've only worked as a carer for barely a month and the amount of mistakes/misconduct I've seen is already overwhelming... catheters not put on properly, washing up not done, documentation missing, tablets counted wrong, racist comments, sexist comments, leaky pads, creams left out, repositioning done wrong etc. - silly me for thinking that carers would receive proper training and monitoring, and that they would care as much as possible.

that depressing moment when you realise that you used to write all the time, and now the only things you’ve written in the last year are complaints to various healthcare professionals. 

Am in a slightly more relaxed, celebratory mood now that I’ve established my landlords cheque won’t bounce this month (like I’ll have peanuts in my account once it goes, BUT I CAN PAY MY RENT). I’ve got some more work lined up dogsitting/babysitting/house cleaning/decorating for the next month, plus hopefully a bit of birthday cash from family members, so with any luck I’ll be able to bridge the gap for next month before my student loans come in at the end of October.
