⤷ Caregiver Engineer Headcanons—

Demoman’s (I’m a demoengie truther!!!) and Pyro’s caregiver, he loves his little one’s to pieces!

Enjoys being called “Dad”, “Dada”, “Daddy” or similar nicknames although doesn’t mind being called “Mister”, “Engineer”/“Engie” or his name

Very routine orientated with his little one, helping them get settled in a comfortable and predicable routine

Adores helping you but will let you try to do things independently, after all, his little one can do anything they settle their mind in

Sometimes he forgets that he isn’t wearing gunslider or another prosthetic and will try to use his right hand to grab stuff, only to realize he can’t, which always makes you both laugh

⤷ Especially when he adds a dramatic “Oh darn it! Not again!” To get some extra giggles out of you

Can do well with any ages but has a soft spot for baby regressors and teen regressors

⤷ Baby’s because he enjoys taking care of babies, bottle feedings, the burping, the soft lullabies and overall the tenderness of that sort of love

⤷ Teens because he enjoys to help them find their own path on life, to learn about their interests and have conversations. He enjoys knowing he is a safe person for his “grumpy-pants”

He’s overall a very tender caregiver, rarely gets himself worked up, only doing it when it’s concerns his little one’s safety

⤷ And even so he will do his best to make sure he is being fair and communicating well his worries and the rules you need to follow

The only times he actually lost his cool was when their little ones were sick, he rushed them to Medic and would only calm down after being sure it was just a cold

Will take you to ride horses and pick apples, will also take you to farmers markets!

Loves cuddling and having you close, very affectionate caregiver! Sometimes will cuddle you to sleep and ends up falling asleep himself

Plays the guitar for you, singing you lullabies when you don’t feel like having a bedtime story (or sometimes will do both, story then song)

⤷ Also! Will teach regressors to play the guitar if they would like to learn!

Is always playing some country or “dad rock” music he enjoys while working or making food

Talking about food, he is AMAZING at the grill and at making briskets, he is really good at it! Ofc, he will let you help him if you’d like to!

Will let you hangout in his workshop as long as you stay next to him and don’t break the safety rules! If you’d like to help he will give you age-appropriate tasks!
