SUNY Plattsburgh teaches students to create meaningful relationships with not only fellow cardinals but also students from other schools. Most know about the rival sport games between Plattsburgh and Oswego. SUNY Platts introduces students to the outside world by showing healthy competition that pushes their students to only be better and work with other people rather than just who they are used to. This is important, because later in life as adults we will be able to use this experience to succeed. #CardsFly

" I can feel it in my bones! " I'm so excited to join the Plattsburgh life next Fall! I love the students and the campus, I am excited to meet new people, join clubs, make connections and long lasting friendships! I also am excited to choose a major that fits me and start on my career journey at SUNY Plattsburgh! I know SUNY Plattsburgh will help me become a successful person and I can't wait to start! #CardsFly

SUNY Plattsburgh has given me the opportunity to explore and to find adventure in everything I do. As a cardinal, I feel the need to explore and discover the beautiful, wonderful world around me and SUNY Plattsburgh has definitely helped me do that. #CardsFly

This is the road I'm going to travel to open a new chapter in my life, alongside that comes new friends and new opportunities. Here at SUNY Plattsburgh I know that every step I take is a step closer to my dream, and here I know I'll soar let alone fly. #CardsFly

Josh Fox, the director of the famous "Gasland" documentaries, and I after his "Solutions Grassroots Tour" presentation on March 8th, 2015, here in Yokum Hall.
I served as a student representative and discussed with the audience what students were doing on campus to raise awareness about sustainability and make SUNY Plattsburgh a leader in the community concerning environmental stewardship.
SUNY Plattsburgh has provided me with many opportunities to challenge myself and develop close relationships with my peers and professors. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for my professors pushing me to take advantage of new learning opportunities.
I wholeheartedly agree that #CardsFly

Tonight, I was asked to help teach signs to students at the American Sign Language Workshop hosted by NSSHLA, CEC, and the SUNY Plattsburgh Student Association (That’s me in the bottom right showing the sign for nurse!) Because of ASL courses, SUNY Plattsburgh has given me the opportunity to learn an incredibly beautiful visual language and discover Deaf Culture. With help from Professor Dora Bradly who taught ASL 3, a voice off class (she is a member of the Deaf Community), I have had the opportunity to create an independent study in partnership with UVM-Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. There is a communication and cultural barrier between the Deaf and the Hearing worlds, especially in healthcare. I have designed an educational presentation to teach deaf etiquette and basic medical sign language to the doctors and nurses of the ER as well as to other healthcare personnel and interested members of the community. I couldn’t have done any of this without the opportunity to learn sign language from SUNY Plattsburgh or the support from faculty. I am truly grateful. #Cardsfly #ImagineWhatYouWillAccomplish #Plattslife #Nursing #ASL #DeafCulture #Senior #Independent Study #Nurse #DeafCommunity

One of the biggest reasons I chose to come to Plattsburgh was because of the great outdoors that surrounded it. With the Saranac River and Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh has a beautiful surrounding area with all kinds of activities to do @sunyplattsburgh #CardsFly

SUNY Plattsburgh has showed me how to reach past my comfort zones and reach for my goals no matter how high or far away they may be. College has made me a stronger, smarter, and determined being, and always ready to take on the world and try new things! #CardsFly

I cannot believe I have almost completed two years of Nursing school; this means that I am halfway done with the program at SUNY Plattsburgh. It feels like just yesterday, I received a hand-written postcard, T-shirt and special Nursing tour from Admission Ambassador, Alice. Her enthusiasm, passion and involvement on campus was one of the reasons why I decided to commit to SUNY Plattsburgh, back in March of 2013.
Like Alice, I have taken advantage of the vast opportunities and hands-on experiences SUNY Plattsburgh offers to students. I am a Community Advocate in Wilson Hall, Admission Ambassador, Shine On! Mentor, a volunteer at CVPH Medical Hospital, a member through Project HELP, a member of Student Nurses Association at Plattsburgh (SNAPS) and was recently inducted into Omicron Delta National Leadership Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In a matter of two years, it is incredible to see how far I have come and how much I have accomplished.
I have perfected and utilized my Nursing skills in both the Nursing Lab and the Clinical setting. I can proudly say that I can perform a complete head-to-toe assessment, understand medical terminology and calculate pharmacological equations; I acknowledge each and every accomplishment, no matter how big or small. I took on a sudden interest in Orthopedics, after learning a whole unit about the bones in my Anatomy and Physiology course last semester.
Not only have I grown as a person, I have formed various relationships with my fellow Nursing peers, my residents, and faculty members, that will last a lifetime. I cannot wait to see what the next two years has in store for me, upon completion of Nursing School.
SUNY Plattsburgh is the best home away from home I could ask for. My freshman year is coming to an end, and I’m leaving it as a new and improved version of myself. I’ve met amazing people; I’ve been blessed with incredibly dedicated and influential professors, and have started my journey to becoming the person I have always wanted to be. I became a cardinal and wear my wings with pride. #CardsFly #SUNYPlattsburgh #Cardianls #College

SUNY Plattsburgh helps #CardsFly because of the outstanding opportunities and resources it provides for undergraduate students. My freshman and junior year I was able to explore parts of the UK and Europe via backpack and kayak to expand my cultural awareness of the world. For the past three years I have been a part of the Residence Life team on campus and have been able to plan programs that are exciting to the students living on my floor. I have also had the incredible opportunity of being the president of the Outing Club. Because of SUNY Plattsburgh, we have been able to rock climb and ice climb in New York and Vermont, White water raft in the heart of the Adirondacks, go on scenic hikes in the high peaks, as well as ski the best snow in the East at Jay Peak. As a Pre-med student, I am lucky to have the opportunity to be able to do research with Dr. Elwess during the 2015-16 school year. I will also be doing summer research at the University of Rochester thanks to Plattsburgh’s strong foundational courses. And lastly, another reason SUNY Plattsburgh helps #CardsFly is because they recently established a bike rental program and because I am saving up for a bike currently, this has given me the opportunity I wouldn’t have otherwise to train for my cross country bike across the United States next summer!

I've been attending SUNY Plattsburgh since 2013 as a Studio Art major with a concentration in Graphic Design and plan to graduate this May with my bachelors. SUNY Plattsburgh has offered and supplied everything I could ever ask for in an education. I was given the right tools needed to craft my future for the long run. If it wasn't for SUNY Plattsburgh, I wouldn't be managing a fairly big YouTube channel, talking to creative like-minded people, and establishing connections that will benefit me for a lifetime.

For me to put my experiences with SUNY Plattsburgh into words seemed like a daunting task. Four years of my life, that unfortunately seemed to just fly by, were easily the greatest and happiest times of my life. How can I put the greatest times in my life into words! Many of which I was speechless for!
I met people that helped shape who I am today. Plattsburgh alumni, influential professors, and countless other people helped mold me into the person I am now. I made amazing friendships that I intend to keep for the rest of my life, and had once in a lifetime experiences that I will always remember.
Without SUNY Plattsburgh, my life would be a whole lot different today and I never want to find out what it would be like. I wouldn't trade where I'm at right now for the world. SUNY Plattsburgh really does help #CardsFly

Looking for fellow Plattsburgh State Cardinals alums on the beaches of San Diego. Graduated in 1979. Played on the very last Cardinals football team. My experience at Plattsburgh State led me to a rewarding 31 year career in teaching and coaching. Still attached to the college where I met my beautiful wife. Two sons played baseball for the Cardinals and I attend games every chance I get. "Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal!" #CardsFly

At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go back to school but then I received a letter of acceptance from SUNY Plattsburgh. I’m a senior this year and I feel like I have conquered all of the doubts that have come my way. SUNY Plattsburgh has permitted me to wade through a world of endless possibilities. I’m proud to be a cardinal, and I’m going to stretch beyond my limits and succeed in this life. Here at SUNY Plattsburgh you’ll discover that you’re going to fly high, as the world awaits #CardsFly #SUNYPlattsburgh

I am a student at SUNY Plattsburgh and what I love about this college is that I am always surrounded by art. The “museum without walls” was one of the main reasons Plattsburgh became my main choice, along with its great business program. Now and forever Plattsburgh will be a “piece of my puzzle” guiding me forward and broadening my perspective on culture, art, business and life. #CardsFly #FavoriteArtPiece
