Spent a fun day with my weird and wonderful crew, with 2 performances (and an impromptu photo shoot because awesome costumes!, aaaand eating all the pho because phooooo!) at the #bazaarofthebizarre at the #spicefactory in Hamilton. Coincidentally, this morning I discovered that after the past five months of determined hard work to get stronger and leaner, I had finally lost 20 lbs. Without a thyroid. 🙌 To my endocrinologist who told me that weight gain and strength/endurance loss was part of my new post-cancer normal, I say a hearty Fuck You Very Much. 🖕To anyone else out there who has lost their thyroid and has had to find their new normal on #synthroid or other hormone replacement, please believe that it will get better, AND you have to work hard for it.
