And here I sit, wondering why I can't put out fic at an alamring rate while

brain exhausts itself at a quicker rate

writing in another language instead of my mother tongue

having 2 kids, working and keeping the house running

helping family members who can't do certain stuff for themselves anymore

being depressed and plagued by anxiety

Anyway, thank you to everybody who ever commented on my fics, here or on AO3. You're so important for the fandom world and you're certainly what keeps me writing when I sometimes wonder what I'm doing. I'll try to do better in the future (if I get around to posting something again).

Cleaned some stuff up I wanted to clean up for a while and might do more.

Thank you so much for the kind message, dear 🩷 I don't think I feel underappreciated since there is a handful of people who I know enjoy my writing (or are at least kind enough to say so). That's all I can ask for.

Also thank you for sending me the link. It sounds sensible, but sadly that's not how my brain works. If I write and post stories, it's only ever for other people. If my stories were just for myself, I wouldn't have to write them down. They're in my head after all.

I'm trying not to put myself down over my writing, but I'm also a quite realistic person. For various reasons, I will never reach the same level as some other writers. That's just a fact.

I'm still holding out hope for people appreciating more writers and more community rather than just consumption, though, even if it looks rather bleak right now. That's why I keep reblogging those posts.
