#car problems

So after working on this pile of shit and many, many phone calls to people much more experienced and educated than I. The guys over at multiair tuning have been amazing. Language barrier or not. After running some data logging and such with them. I think we’ve determined that 2 injectors and a fuel pump are hurt. This happens with E85. It’s very corrosive. Mix that with sitting for the winter. That’s just bad new bears. So looking at parts it’s going to right around $700usd to mix. I don’t know how much with tariffs I’m not doing that math. Kinda a bummer. Looks like I’m not racing this year at all and if I do it won’t be until the end of the season. I’ll have to save up to buy said parts.

Pulled over mid (highly scientific) date due to a minor car mechanical failure. Specifically, the engine attempting to turn itself into a blast furnace. Not exactly ideal, but overheating is a basic thermodynamics issue—Especially for my car model—I know it’s shit, but it’s functional.

Conveniently, we stopped near a materials shop (also known as a modern miracle of supply chains) and Acquired coolant appropriate for the engine. Lab partner was present but functionally useless in this scenario. They had zero automotive knowledge, so, they were just sitting there observing like a primate.
