Something I don’t think I’ve seen often enough in fiction is two worlds each calling themselves “the real one”.
This oddly, comes from a long running infrequently updated comic based on that old Captain N Show; Captain SNES.
So basically for a long comics run had an antagonist force mindbreaking people into nihilism by revealing they are fictional characters
But then we started seeing other mysterious forces/faction calling “the real world’ mere “stardust and chance” and thus lesser than a realm of ideals and concepts.
And then there was the magic spell in flashback, cast from documents claiming it was a spell that predated their world as they knew it
“...and so I ask, as Princess of the True Real, the Eternal Realm...”

Few webcomics hit me as hard as this. I don’t even have nostalgia for that Captain N cartoon.

Based on the sizzle sound that cage bottom made, somehow I doubt Duke simply vanished...or disinitgrated cartoon style either.
I really hope this comic finishes, but updates have slowed to about 4 a year. But I want to know...what cosmic disquieting secrets did Mother Brain (captain N version, Super Metroid version is explained as a different serial number) experience as the finality of death claimed her?
The fun thing about videogames sprite comics was the ease of crossovers.
