If you're still doing ship choices: coldwestallen, coffee shop AU or deep space explorers AU?
While I love the aspect of the coffee shop AU, the fluffy-ness, the chessy-ness, with just a little bit of the angst due to misunderstandings and then the big speech about how they’re all in love with each other, and I do love all that, I think I’d have to go with deep space explores because that’s an AU I don’t think I’ve really gotten into before and I’m super intrigued by the thought of it.
I’m gonna go a bit Star Trek route with this (thanks to @wonderingtheblue for the suggestion! XD)
Iris West-Allen was the second youngest to Captain a star ship, The U.S.S. Rogue, much like her predecessor, the  Enterprise, the Rogue is slightly smaller, meant for longer trips and further exploration. Iris is capable and much loved by her crew.
Her second in command is Leonard Snart, half Vulcan half sass (human). Len is known to be difficult to work with and most captains, while willing to praise Len for his hard work and dedication note in their logs he’s extremely difficult to work with.
Yes he’s difficult and stubborn as fuck, but Iris and Len make a formidable team together and are calculating and their mission success rate is the highest of any star ship in all of the Federation.Â
(Eobard Thawne, the Admiral who assigned Len to Iris, hoping she’d tank, is pissed off when his plan backfires on him)
Barry is the chief Science officer, and an absolute menace when Iris and Len have to take him on away missions. Barry’s one of the best science officers the Federation has seen in over a decade, no argument about it, but god will he just not stop running head first into danger all because he can think is science! must learn the science! while Iris and Len are forced to chase after him, rolling their eyes and sighing to one another about this incredibly brave, brilliant an sexy person they can’t help but love, which is the only reason Iris and Len still let Barry go planet side.Â
(Those puppy eyes of his are a danger, and anytime someone new is assigned to the ship, the first two memos they get on their data pad is that 1, You never, never ask about the Captain, First Officer and Head Science Officer’s relationship, you just don’t ask!, and 2, You’ll never be able to say no when Officer Allen whips out his puppy eyes, just accept it and move on, everyone else already has.)
No one’s quite brave enough to ask about the heated looks, the longing looks shared between the three, so no one knows the story behind the seemingly complicated relationship.
No one knows that Len was a guest lecture in one of Iris’s classes, and that it started a life long friendship, no one knows that a few weeks after knowing one another, Len was introduced to Barry, Iris’s childhood best friend and her fiance.Â
No one knows that three months after meeting, Barry pushed Len into the wall and spent ten minutes making out with him, before Iris pulled him off so she could get her own turn at kissing those God damn lips. No one knows that they spent a week talking about everything under the sun, hashing out what it means to them how it could work.Â
No one knows the reason Len and Iris work so well together is because they’ve been dating for nearly five years before Len even got assigned to Iris’s crew.Â
No one knows at least until they stop at a base and pick up Len’s younger sister, Lisa and her wife Laurel, so that they can have them there as Iris and Barry officially bring Len into their marriage.Â
give me a ship and make me choose between two AUs
Edit: I can’t stop thinking about the crew trying to get them together, not realizing the three already are together. Like, imagine the shenanigans everyone gets up to trying to get their captain, first officer and head science officers to admit how they feel, not realizing those three already have.
