Okay, I have the start of what was to be the sequel to 'Between Destiny And Love' - a subverted soulmates story I wrote back in 2016.

The title for the sequel is Paved With Good Intentions and is from Steve's POV with Steve/Maria endgame (because this is me). It takes place post-Endgame and is...complicated.

It's only the first chapter - about 2500 words. Steve has an entire character journey to go through, and even once he does that, he's got to actually get Maria back - which is harder than one might think.

Do any of my readers want me to post it (on Ao3)? Would you read it? It's unfinished and I was thinking "maybe people want something to entertain them" and then, well, TODAY HAPPENED and now I'm wondering if my friends want something that's not really going to comfort them.

I've been pretty firmly back on my Trek bullshit for about a year now, but prior to that, I was all up in CaptainHill land. The installments of this old gen have been getting some love as people look up Maria Hill fanfic for....reasons, so I thought I'd post it here.

And I was in highschool and I remember my friends and I got together to see the trailer with a big projector in one of the classrooms.

And when the scene with Bruce and Natasha came out, all my friends screamed so hard (one of them was a Steve/Natasha shipper) but my favorite reaction was this girl screaming:

"OH MY GOD WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME FROM? WHAT WAS THAT?"

And the trailer ended and I was so excited for Ultron as a villain but she was like:

"Put Natasha's scene again. What the hell is that?"

Bright lights Scott seldom believed he deserved.

He was golden sunsets. She, the clearest blue.

Vivid, beautiful colors Maria feared she’d forever lack.

An old ship found buried deep, long lost but never forgotten.

As a tiny human, I remember seeing these two in CATWS and AoU, and finding ye olde fics about a ball busting Maria Hill (whom I had loved from the comics), and adorable 2012 Steve.

The idea of this jacket had spurred our small fandom and spawned so many possibilities on paper.

And while my perception and ships have sailed long past, this is a nostalgic find at its finest.
