Yamcha blinked at the long, very unnecessarily detailed list of hers. Not that he was surprised-- he had gotten used to it over the years. But they became much more elaborate the older she got.

i have a lot of thoughts and feelings about bulma and launch so just sit back and relax while i do this.

we know for a fact that launch and bulma did not know each other well at all at the beginning of the red ribbon arc, evidenced by the fact that bulma has no knowledge of her condition and is SHOCKED when blonde launch takes the diamond bulma stole and takes off (’isnt she on our side?!’). at best, i imagine they knew OF each other, likely through goku, but had never formally met. and then the red ribbon nonsense happens. 

bulma stays at kame-house frooomm…basically the time with the diamond things happen to the end, which i think is a little over half the arc? and i think it’s during this time that the two of them started talking to each other and getting close – because next time we see them together after that is the 22nd world tournament and bulma is well comfortable enough to exploit launch’s condition for good seats!

i think they just enjoy having another girl to talk to, because everyone around them is a beefcake guy who just wants to fight. they do girly things like paint nails, go shopping, and do some girly talk. blue launch is a shoulder to cry on while bulma talks about her relationship issues with yamcha, blondie offers violence as therapy (’wanna go kick his ass?’ ‘we should just wait for the next world tournament and let the other fighters do it for us’). bulma lets launch gush about tien and complain about the fact that she can’t get him and offers REALLY BAD ADVICE? (’just show him your panties. it works always’).

❝Mother--❞ As soon as he caught up with Bulma, Trunks greeted her with a quick bow of his head. He was ready to return to his own timeline, but he couldn’t just leave without saying his last goodbye.
