Jackie is liquid gold – pearly white smiles and one asymmetrical dimple. She’s wisps of hair slipping from her ponytail and curling around her ears, shirts that cut off just above the waistband of her shorts. She touches like sweet molasses and watches like she can hold an image in the dark centre of her hazel eyes. She’s a smattering of freckles over bare shoulders and downy blonde hair on the nape of a neck. She’s chipped nail polish and skin like syrup and says Shauna’s name in a way that makes her feel like the only person in the room.  Jackie’s just the sort of girl you can’t help but fall in love with.
