Three years ago, after countless adventures and assignments, my beloved tripod was stolen out of a rental car while on a job in San Francisco. I was upset, but quickly had it replaced. Life went on. Fast forward to today: tripod number 2 had filled the void of the first; having joined me on more recent adventures, near and far. Today, unfortunately, this one met its untimely death after being crushed in a New Jersey parking lot. This thing has survived TSA security screenings and baggage handlers around the world but couldn't survive the bumper of an old man.
