no no no no 1000x no. i think itâd make me lazy. for example, if i knew i was going to become a famous artist, i wouldnât feel as driven to create because iâd be like WELP THE FUTURE ALREADY SAID I WAS THE NEXT VAN GOGH. and if i found out i wasnât, iâd be extremely discouraged and have no drive to create too. i donât think humans should mess with time/precognition. see: hubris

tattoo: what tattoos do you have/stories behind them? what tattoos do you want? i have endless tattoo ideas not answering thisi have four tattoos. one is the deathly hallows from HP on my chest. itâs one of the most powerful symbols in harry potter, representing the infallible nature of death, the human desire for power, and many have interpreted it to represented the Holy Trinity. the literally design itself is a completely satisfying geometric shape that breaks up into equally satisfying negative shapes. But aside from all of those reasons, Harry Potter is my childhood, and the deathly hallows symbol reminds me to be true to myself and keep marching on, like Harry would.
the second is REDRUM on my pelvis. this has two meanings. the first is that i was a victim of sexual violence when i was young, which caused me to fall into a very deep depression that characterized most of my childhood and teen years. it was literally like a part of me had been murdered forever. however, the way I interpret redrum in the shining is that it implies the idea of not-murder, aka the Aristotelian definition of the opposite of murder. itâs the reflection of it. wendy and jack both almost kill each other, but they donât. they both survive each other. yes, jack dies of exposure, but wendy never kills him, and he never kills her. itâs about survival.
the third and fourth are i want to believe and the truth is out there on my wrists because x files is the best show ever. while i indentify with these statements deeply, i feel like they sort of speak for themselves and donât need elaborate explanations.
