[ of course, the ‘ food ’ truck's tire decided to pop just AFTER the crew went home for the day. o' his hubris ; that's what he gets for driving through that construction zone, but Cesare would be damned if he was gonna wait in that bumper - to - bumper.

regardless, he's taken strides with his fiery temper. he's been on top of the world since regaining his mortality --! even if he can no longer jump down the stairs ; he takes the hand - rail like some kind of geriatric dork and patters down to inspect the damage.

but oh, what was this? a store that wasn't here before? the community was so tightly knit, if there was a new store nearby, then surely they'd have heard about it. cheese was the one who pointed it out to the young rabbit in the first place, head lifting, brown eyes widening once cream realised just what it was. an ice cream place! wait, was this the one that her friend tails had mentioned? she'd been wanting to check this out!

should she perhaps be more focused on the task at hand, collecting the ingredients her mother had asked her to get? perhaps. but damn, childhood curiosity was a powerful driving force indeed.

The sound of plastic garbage bags being rummaged through was was prompted the parlor's back door to crack open, the candy maker poking his head out. Being set in the woods and all, he expected it to be a raccoon, a possum, or maybe even a stray cat trying to find food; but— " Huh? " —nope. That looked nothing like a mammal, much less something from those woods: a small crab. Okaaay— " Th-the beach's a mile away from here, what— ? " —he might as well have seen it all now.

How did he get here? Hah! Nice question! From what he knows, he fell asleep, felt something grabbing him and lifting him, and suddenly everything went dark! Dark and scary, for so so so long! Of course, a little crab like him had no clue of what a fishnet or a barrel was -- all he knew that he used to be in the ocean when he fell asleep, and he, just. Wasn't? When he woke up.

So, Kril started wandering around, figuring he might as well try to find something he could use as a shell when he saw, finally, something familiar, held inside some... weird. Yellow plastic bag. A can! A tin can! At least he could have a shell while he was lurking in that suspiciously green place. Ripping the bag open with his fork, the crab shoved himself inside, grunting under his breath as he tried to pull out a particularly pretty, empty can-

--just to freeze on the spot as someone appeared. Someone huuuge. Oh boy, here we go again!
