Episodes like Elementary My Dear Stacy, Book Flub, and Meap Me in St. Louis make me want to see Candace in an investigative setting. We see that she genuinely is good at busting and knows techniques for gathering information; her failures are often due to times when she gets so focused on the end result she jumps the gun and misses something, or she's just going up against the Mysterious Force. And Meap is right to say it's not a busting obsession but a justice obsession—Candace feels like if she did the stuff Phineas and Ferb to she'd get in trouble, and despite some episodes rightfully pointing out if she lets go of busting the boys she can have fun with them, I do think she actually does enjoy the process of trying to bust them. We know she winds up going to law school, and her dissertation is on investigative techniques, so if she becomes a trial attorney I think it would be an Ace Attorney-style one, where she goes to the crime scene, finds evidence, and puts the pieces together herself before presenting them in court.
