Khalil Rountree (3-0) is one of the top middleweight prospects running around on the regional scene. He’s also the one that was rumored to have knocked out his mentor, Anderson Silva, in the the training camp leading up to the Nick Diaz fight earlier this year. Rountree started training to lose weight about 5 years ago but someone at the camp realized he had a lot of natural gifts. While he doesn’t look particularly quick, he is built like a damn brickhouse and looks damn near impossible to move.
For a more detailed breakdown of him as a prospect, check out this bloodyelbow scouting report. Rountree will fight on the RFA 33 main card this Friday (Dec. 11th) when he faces his toughest test to date in Justin Polendey (7-2).
