Hello, I talk about combat sports here. Mostly MMA, Boxing, and kickboxing but it varies from week to week. Depends on whatâs happening. If you like fighting, feel free to say hey.

that was a crazy watch. I knew that rot ran deep but I didn't realize how huge it was. Cartels AND Hezbollah? Thanks for the rec
No problem! Knew a lot about the Kinehans from their time in Ireland. Did not know about what they were doing in the Middle East.
For anybody whoâd like to know how arms dealing drug cartels, Hezbollah, and combat sports are all connected!
How you feeling about your Knicks buddy? I'm just glad the dastardly, DISGUSTING thunder were defeated so I'm happy with whoever wins. NJ nets fan so my hoops life has been nothing but suffering since the 00s.
I think the Knicks have a slight edge since they coasted through and rested while the Spurs have gone life and death. Mostly excited for some good basketball.
Funny enough as a Jersey boy, was never a fan of the Nets. I think it was cause they were my big brotherâs favorite team and I found their uniforms boring. So at 5-6 I hitched myself to the Knicks and itâs been nothing but pain. Imagine my disgust a couple years later when the Nets make those finals runs. Now Iâm experiencing levels of sports joy that I didnât know existed? My previous read on being a sports fan, specifically ball sports (specifically the Knicks), is that more than rooting for a team - sports are about collective suffering. A type of self flagellation ritual we all engage with to form bonds with strangers because why the fuck else would we be sitting around watching Lou Amundson airball a fucking finger roll at the goddamn rim???
I didnât know joy and hope were actual things you could experience watching your favorite basketball team until the Liberty got good. And now, the Knicks!
As for the match up, I think we match up well! If KAT stays out of foul trouble and can be out there when Wemby is on the floor, I think weâre going to have a chance to really open up the floor and get clean looks. Iâm not as much an Xs and Os ball watcher as I am with combat sports though. Iâm excited to be here!

Jonathan Haggerty vs Yuki Yoza | ONE Samurai
Finally gettin around to watching this.
One of the handful of times we did get a pro bowl level athlete (football), he got smoked by Tai Tuivasa.
Forgot O'Shaquie Foster vs. Ray Ford was happening last night.
Seeing Ford get thrown through the ropes like a pro wrestler was hilarious.
Love Alex Perez. Manâs fights are always nonsense. He could knock out someone cold or he could get kicked in the peen so hard he starts vomiting in the cage. He could break a man with leg kicks or his knee could literally explode into a million pieces. He could give Mokaev his toughest fight ever, but he forgets to throw punches in the 3rd round. Or he could get guillotined. Perez is a great crash test dummy for the extremes MMA is capable of.
Daniel Marcos was let go after losing only 1 of his 7 UFC fights
UFC passed on re-signing Daniel Marcos, a guy who was 5-1 (1 NC) in the UFC. Fake ass company.

Remove the 265lb limit.
Not cause itâs holding anyone back from being the mythical super heavyweight monster but I want to see 5â10 350lb men try to wrestle for 10 minutes.
From the âsuperbowl of combat sportsâ to âcome on guys, we canât compete with the WNBA.â Just embarrassing.
Also the answer to this question is yes? This is what real sports do - they put a premium on potential. They have talent scouts, evaluators, etc that are responsible for going out and finding future top talents. And when they find those top talents, they pay out the ass to make sure they come play for that team.
ALSO
I love that the implication here is that even Dana thinks the UFC is bloated with tons of fighters who should probably not be in the promotion. Almost like getting to the UFC should be difficult and signings should discerning! You donât fucking say???!!!

Cody Brundage leveraging his MMA career into a real job (firefighting) is the most positive and intelligent move a fighter has made before retiring since Mounir Lazzez decided to launder money for an international drug and arms cartel.

Iâll ring this bell forever but the UFC being unable to turn Ronda Rousey-mania into a pipeline for young women to get into combat sports should be seen as another example of their lack of investment in the sport.
Imagine if when Rousey was still in her prime and one of the top 4 or 5 most visible women in all of sports, the UFC decided to work with judo dojos and orgs across the country to provide free classes and access to local regional competition. Call it the âBe the next Ronda Rouseyâ scholarship or something, with seminars and trips to see her fight for local girl judokas and wrestlers etc.
Hell, the UFC âownsâ a chain of gyms. They could have done it themselves.
We need people getting invested into combat sports to keep the sport alive.
