Okay I’m heavily mourning so I need to yap for a minute.
I personally, despite hearing so many others say they were unsatisfied with the whitepine finale, loved it. I’ve always said that some stories end best with questions unanswered. Stories are not always about answering every question and making everything right, but to live freely and find peace with themselves. This goes the same for the TADC finale because I heard so many people saying they didn’t like it because it wasn’t the ending they were hoping for but in the end, the characters found peace with themselves. Both revolve around acceptance. Ivory needed to accept that things would never work out. Although it left many questions unanswered, and most of the cast didn’t make it out, it ended on the most beautiful and serine note. I can understand why people are unhappy with it, but I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Whitepine was one of the most beautiful pieces of media I have ever seen, and I just think some people dont understand that endings aren’t always the perfect, happy, fairytale endings you hope, and they don’t need to be.
