“...” Amelia was silent for a moment, frowning. She wished she could ease his insecurities, take away any doubt in his mind. But words didn’t have the power to do that. She knew that. She could only try to assure him.

SENTENCE MEME

“I’ll give you one guess to figure that one out, champ.” It was pretty easy to guess, considering which one of them was the youngest and was a big fan of using emojis. A certain spider-man. Peter was always sending emojis to Tony. It was actually kind of ridiculous but it always made him laugh.

The world narrows down to just Clint when she exits the car. Will releases a shaky breath as he takes in the sight of his wife, shadows under and in her eyes, a stiffness ro her body that tells him she is bruised to all hell. Still, she is a sight for sore eyes, and he is so fucking relieved that she is home.

He makes his way to her, finding a smile from somewhere when she meets his eyes. He stops in front of her, sweeps her into a gentle hug that tightens into a desperate grip when she clings back.

"You're home," he tells her, or himself maybe, shakily. "You're alive." He pulls back, brings his hands up to cup her face, brushing stray strands of hair back. "You're alive."

There are tears threatening to fall, his and hers, and she holds on to his shoulders, inches between them, and is just as shaky when she says, "I love you," like she though she wouldn't get the chance to ever say it again.

He kisses her then, a firm press of the lips to hers. Pulls back, rests his forehead on hers. "You're alive," he repeats like a broken record, and knows she hears I love you too.
