I'm not that great at keeping up with...well, anything really. I've got a bunch of stories that I have to give myself to go back to, lest they get forgotten and never finished. I have a ton of promised ideas that I just never bring into fruition.

But one thing I've been consistent on, for a full year now, is Tech Tuesday.

While I haven't been able to keep up with the original three stories a week, I've been able to post something each and every Tuesday for the past year and, dammit, I'm proud of myself for that! That's an achievement to me!

It hasn't been easy. Some weeks I'm scrambling and writing at the last minute. Other weeks I'm telling myself it's not going to happen, there's just nothing I can write.

But I fucking persevered. And I'm proud of myself.

This is from a crack-ish sick fic, where Bucky and Sam are forced to quarantine together and Sam has the worst flu symptoms (and maybe in denial about it)

In hindsight, Bucky’s first hint that this was going to go poorly was the delirious smile Sam gave him when he saw Bucky and said “Ah good, you’ve come to rescue me.” — Half his words heavy and distorted by a blocked nose. Bucky now watches Sam sniff at the fourth variation of porridge he’s made. The first one was too salty, the second was too watery, and third was too soft. Bucky is certain this bowl has been made to Sam’s palate which is currently as discerning as a raccoon in a restaurant’s dumpster. Sam eyes it with an expression of suspicion and disgust more appropriate on AJ’s face than his. “It hurts my teeth,” Sam declares. “Hurts your teeth?” Bucky repeats, for lack any other response than a frustrated scream.
