hands rested on angled hips, emerald eyes fixed on the brunette as she seemed to thrive on just where the path of their lives had brought them. rachel had always looked at life with more rose tinted glasses than quinn had ever dared too. she'd spent too much time working to try and be perfect to see just what life might have to offer her. "maybe it's what you have been waiting for." she'd always been steadfast in her goals and dreams. the blonde, not so much. "you have been working towards for –– how long? years maybe?" she continued, head shaking as golden locks hung past her shoulders. "so enjoy it. but i don't know if i'm going to come along for the ride."

there she is... target acquired ! really, she doesn't have half a clue as to how exactly she got roped into helping the town committee find entertainment for the stars hollow spring festival. apparently, lane's band has a gig that can't possibly be passed up & naturally, taylor needs someone else to headline before the vein in his neck explodes. as if miss patty wasn't right there, pitching her one woman show ! she'd tried nudging him to accept with a guarantee that the people would be entertained, herself in particular, but he wouldn't budge. it's safe to say, her very next thought went straight to haley. " hey, you ! " she greets sweetly, watching her with already pleading eyes across luke's counter. " how's my crazy talented, cute as button, can ask whatever she wants of me if she does me this one tiny favor girl ? "

the other woman's words reach her ears, a smile painting her lips as she turns her eyes to @cagedpotential. " pretty much as soon as sam and dean left. " she recants, a little breathless but steady enough. " they kinda blow in, change your life, and you have to build from there. " and she is sure lana understands that completely.

"yeah? no shit," mark said. he wasn't exactly sure how lexie had convinced him to wait outside in the snow for a new bakery to open but she had talked him into it. apparently someone from her intern class knew the owner and they made amazing croissants that lexie just had to try. and because she was lexie she didn't want mark to miss out on all the fun, so they bundled up and got up early to try this new place. if he wasn't with lexie right now then he'd probably complain about getting up at the ass crack of dawn on his day off. but it was lexie and she hadn't stopped smiling since they got in line so it wasn't all bad. "what are you trying first?" he asked. "you really sold me on those croissants."

❛ I'M NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS , but i'm positive you know what you're talking about , so i'll just take your word for it , @cagedpotential . ❜ rachel always knew what she was talking about ; sometimes it was annoying , what with her always being right ---- made someone like finn feel [...] well , STUPID . but it also meant he could trust she wasn't trying to fool him . like when puck would tell him something he swore was absolutely true , &* finn would repeat it to someone else , &* then he'd get called a dumbass because no , platypus' aren't ducks that tried to breed with beavers &* then got stuck &* are trying to escape . [ how's he supposed to know that ?! ] so for now , he just smiles &* nods , happy to at least know if he had to explain all of this to someone else , he could almost do it . at least he got to look at her while she talked passionately about something .
