MIXED FLAVOURS CAKE IS A THING 🥳 // Black Sesame & Earl Grey cake (8inch; aud65) from Cafe Guilty Pleasure, Northbridge. Tip: You can select up to four different flavours for a cake with the cost being aud65-70. The more flavours, the merrier it is to try! 😆 Both black sesame and Earl Grey flavours were good. The black sesame was sweeter and it had chunky black sesame crumbs (made of almond meal) in between the slices. Smelt really fragrantly of black sesame. Earl Grey was less sweet and the flavour of Earl Grey was more subtle - very nice too and the Earl Grey flavour could be stronger in my opinion. We’re really glad to have tried these two flavours as a result of a mix-up as we had initially only ordered the black sesame cake. GUILTY PLEASURE // Honey cube toast; aud12 from the relatively-new aptly-named Cafe Guilty Pleasure in Northbridge (few doors away from Sura or just beside Lotus Vegetarian Market). Menu on @perthfoodmenu or just click #PFR_CafeGuiltyPleasure (if you follow the menu account) The interiors are super cute and retro - it’s as if I’ve stepped into an old English teahouse. Aesthetics aside, thankfully they deliver on the desserts too. The cube honey toasts were served warm - crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. A bit too sweet but that is to be expected with honey drizzled over it.
