We are so grateful for the hard work and maturity of our wonderful intern, Willow Baker! We wanted to share her beautiful words about the experience to remind all of us how profound and affecting and IMPORTANT this work is at any age.
Thank you, Willow!
Most of you will remember how I came into this internship completely blind and clueless, unaware of the adventure I was about to be swept up in. Boy was I not expecting what was to follow. As I said through my tears tonight, you guys are like a family to me. Iâll cherish the memories and wonderful experiences Iâve had with all of you forever. Iâve learned so much, more than I could ever have hoped to learn, and Iâve become so much more confident and independent. Thank you all for not treating me as the weird, sixteen year old intern, and instead just acting as if I was an adult (albeit one with severely limited life experience) who could be trusted with just as much as the other PAs [Production Assistants]. It really means the world for a teenager when they feel valued and included. You guys have never failed to put a smile on my face, and youâve never stopped being the incredible, beautiful people Iâve grown to know and love. For all my fellow production crew members, thanks for your late night craziness and endless hard work. For all the actors, thanks for the beautiful show and your constant kindness. I donât know what Iâm going to do come this weekend and Iâm not with you all, but I do know that the memories Iâve made will definitely last a lifetime.
For those Iâll see again someday in the future, until then. For those that I wonât, may your lives be filled with as much joy youâve brought into my own.
Thank you all so much, Iâm going to miss you guys like crazy."
