"Beaker, no! Y-You won't fit on the door!"

So Battler shouted at a chocobo of golden plumage whom tried to enter the family's mansion. Beaker is his name. Not exactly the most creative title there, but hey, better than naming it Cobocho or Bochoco, as his trend of naming Pokémon would predict.

Obviously, such a commotion involving the yet untrained mount bird would attract the attention of someone in this Thursday morning, like that of Rosa Ushiromiya, for example. The woman would be greeted by a rather pathetic display of the sorcerer trying to stop the chocobo's advances.

✯ "Now what should I name you...?"

✯ Truth be told, this is a dilemma that Maya has been facing the past few days. She's managed to obtain a beautiful, richly plumed chocobo whom she loves walking around with. However, without a name, it's hard for him to obey her. She only knows it's a male one because the farm crew told her so.

Sunny leaned down and squinted at the wanted poster, but in the dim evening light, it did him no good. He knew it was for one of those migrated beasts by the picture, and that was supremely interesting to him. 

✯ “Okay, but when will we be able of getting some Materia and cast spells for fun?” She’s kinda disappointed that this migration didn’t give her the chance to become an elemental master.

“If you knew what was good for you, you’d back away slowly.” Sunny called airily.

✯ Aaaah, the Badlands. A usually forgotten area of Hive City, left alone for all sorts of creatures and phenomena to happen in peace. There's the city and there's the outside, both living in harmony with one leaving the other alone. As long as one doesn't disturb the other, that's an unshakeable truth.

✯ However, as of recently, that balance has been shattered. The main force behind this? ...Cactuars. Cactus like monsters, varying in size from small dog to human size. Rumors mention rare ones who're even bigger. They've been wreaking havoc in Hive City, destroying public property and being overall jerks.

✯ They aren't that strong, to be honest, so many have tried bringing them down. But they're many. No matter how many Cactuars are slain, more come to take their places. Someone needs to do something about that, and that someone... is Maya Fey.

✯ Well, that's her intention, at least. The thing is, she forgot to consider that the Badlands don't exactly have signs pointing out to where the Cactuars live at. Which means... that she's lost. Badly.
