One glance and Cynthia recognized the woman immediately. That specific exchange had been quite unique, it had been etched into her memory forever. After all, it was strange enough for your daughter to be finding dates for you, but especially so when said daughter was barely a decade old. Her mother really was quite beautiful, though...

Doesn’t know personally, except for the games, or the Golden Land — but at least she knows them well enough to spot one in a crowd of unruly people, faceless goats roaming about. Pushing each other, clawing at whatever they can. She squints; the sign saying ‘80% off everything’ catches her eye. Ah, there’s a sale.

Devilish Pretty’s store comes to mind. Gaap remembers racking long fingers on some poor demon’s back, because they touched the hat she was about to take. Then again, the hat’s not even that nice to look at — she just wants to have it more than they had. She’d been successful that time.

Maybe she’ll let her stay there, ah, but she can’t just leave her alone. Maybe a few more minutes. Maybe. Oh, she can’t stand this. They’re pushing her all over the place!

iri took a sip of the tea placed in front of her; she’d struck up a conversation with the charming woman across from her in some sort of desire to brighten up the mood in the cafe. it was a somber place, really, but she paid it little mind; instead, iri focused on the woman in front of her. a small part of her was enchanted by her gaze alone, and with every word the other spoke, she listened more intently than she ever had.

"Beaker, no! Y-You won't fit on the door!"

So Battler shouted at a chocobo of golden plumage whom tried to enter the family's mansion. Beaker is his name. Not exactly the most creative title there, but hey, better than naming it Cobocho or Bochoco, as his trend of naming Pokémon would predict.

Obviously, such a commotion involving the yet untrained mount bird would attract the attention of someone in this Thursday morning, like that of Rosa Ushiromiya, for example. The woman would be greeted by a rather pathetic display of the sorcerer trying to stop the chocobo's advances.

      “ Aunt Rosa, I wonder what you spend on coloring books a month - she’s already showed me her 5th book today! ” 

All filled with Impossible witches, neat scribbles of suns, houses, and animals - her momma. Him. The mansion - everyone! Very talented, and enthusiastic about it too, he wondered if she might pursue a future in the arts? Opening art galleries with the theme of Golden Witches and spooky scenarios, ah . . . what would her Momma think of that? 

He had to smile, thinking about it, as a hand reached into his jacket pocket for what she’d just given him.

... As by some miracle, the witch appeared standing in an entirely unknown location. The floor beneath her seemed solid, an outcome that was certainly better than she had expected. Moving, however, was a different issue. 

“Ugh... dizzy..” Lambda held her head in place as she felt the scenery spin in unnatural circles. She couldn’t tell if she was standing still or moving along, or attempt to make out any distinguishable figures before she was halted by an immovable force. Had she bumped into something? Her surroundings began spinning in the opposite direction and she felt a faint sense of falling before realizing she had flung backwards and fell behind-first on the ground.
