Her drive home from Aidanâs house was one she wonât forget for a long time. She hadnât experienced that level of pain from a boy in a long time. It was all that more shocking to know Aidan was the reason for her tears. When they started seeing each other a couple months ago, there wasnât a part of her that was ever self-conscious about their connection or their commitment. Learning just how wrong she was about Aidan was something she still found hard to believe. Even after a week, she canât seem to believe it. If it were any other Friday, she would have been about to sit down at her family dinning room table to enjoy their weekly dinners, of course with Aidan present as his parents really view him as family. Though she couldnât face her family or the thought of being across the table with Aidan was too painful.
Jenna found it ironic that when Aidan and her were talking about being together, sheâd stated that she was confident they could be adults if things ended. She never thought it would end the way it had. What kept playing in her head was his need for her to believe he wasnât a cheater. She played his words over before getting interrupted by the buzzer, she sighed as she assumed it was her Chinese food delivery man. She pressed the intercom, âHello?â She called out, expecting to hear the local Chinese food employee reply to her.Â
