8. what is the first book you remember reading yourself?

excluding picture books because the line between reading those with my parents and reading those by myself is too blurry for me to remember properly, probably The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. i have a distinct memory of picking out those books in the bookstore cuz i liked their covers lol

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

uhhhh titles come when they come lmaooo. these days, especially with my short(er) fics the titles generally come last but really i’ve had titles come at literally any point of the writing process. generally i take my titles from songs, usually whatever song was most stuck in my head while i was writing the fic which if i’m lucky its a song that’s actually relevant to the fic in question lmao

56. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

these days i think i’m really good at word economy 😂. that is i can make a fic premise really really short with relative ease without compromising i guess the main emotional theme of the whole idea for the fic

59. Does anyone in your personal life know you write fic? if not, would you tell anyone?

dance au + stranded on a desert island…ok no ship was specified so i’m going to go with andreil lmfao

stretching the definition of dance au a little bit and we’re gonna do dance dance revolution on a desert island hskdkfkgkfkds. neil’s been on the run this whole time and he’s found what he thinks is the perfect refuge on this random island. however *gasp* someone is already there…

ok so on andrew’s side his deal with aaron has basically run out, so with aaron off…somewhere idk…andrew basically decides to fuck off and get on a boat somewhere. shenanigans happen and somehow he gets accidentally left on a desert island. but it’s like andrew he’s sorta just like *shrug emoji* i live here now

now for whatever reason the island has an abandoned arcade that for whatever reason still has electricity? or somehow andrew figured out how to rig it all together so some of the games still work? idk. anyways this is where andrew lives since it’s the only bit of shelter there that’s still somewhat intact. so when neil stumbles in, he in a fit of pique says he’ll only let neil stay with him if he can beat him in a dance dance revolution-off. and so they battle it out for a bit and it’s fun and neil does in fact beat andrew and so it’s like domestic life on an abandoned island or some shit idk. anyways they bond cuz they kinda vibe together

Ah, so... As y'all know I only ever finish short fics. TwT And I struggle with that. BUT when I finally finish one of my long boys, that's gonna be the best feeling ever I think! Also though, finishing a smut fic is always like "hell yeah >:3"

2. Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to?

an explicit sex scene 😔. every time i’ve written a fic where one would be warranted, i chicken out. one day i’ll do it though, one day…

4. Do you have any OCs? Do you have a story for them?

i do have some oc’s i rotate in my head occasionally, but i’ve yet to decide on an actual story for them, so unfortunately they’re like bare sketches and not really real. i never talk about them cuz inevitably when i do commit them to paper for realsies they will prob drastically change as i solidify their story

21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what's your secret?

for the most part yes, and my secret is my inability to not write fic longer than 3k words 😂. just kidding, really it’s more i’m most comfortable writing things in the 500 word - 2k word range so that’s where most things end up. sometimes i will write something i fear is gonna be long and be pleasantly surprised when it actually ends up working better as a ficlet or even a drabble, but other times i’ll be writing something i thought was going to be one scene and next thing i know it’s a legit one shot now whoops. such is the life of the short fic writer
