With her copy of To Kill A Mockingbird raised just enough so the pages wouldnât get wet, Madeline leaned back against her tub, soaking in the warmth and fresh lavender oils. When she heard the doorbell ring, she furrowed her brows in confusion. Well, she wasnât expecting company, in fact, today was her free day. She was in such a good mood, she even extended the homework for a few of her classes so she could relax. As she placed her book on the floor, Madeline carefully stood up before grabbing her bathrobe as she pulled it on. âOn my way!â she shouts out, as she heads out of the bathroom and hopes that whoever it was, was here with food.
As she opened the door, her face lit up upon seeing the old friend. âYou know, I would have been annoyed if it were someone else?â with her robe tied securely, she stepped aside for him. âIf youâre here to talk about homework, or papers, or projects, then iâm going to kick you back out.â again, sheâd much rather relax or just hang out in an environment that wasnât always the campus.

Walking through the streets of Ashcroft almost on autopilot, sheâd spent the past week feeling like a zombie as deadlines for assignments were approaching quicker than sheâd like. Bumping into someone, she felt herself tense up. âOh my god, are you okay? You werenât hurt were yoâŚâ She broke off, finally realising that the person sheâd walked into wasnât anywhere near a stranger. âOh, itâs just you.â The words were exhaled in relief before she paused once more, running the words through in her mind. âNot that itâs a bad thing to see you but⌠Sibling rules say you canât hate me for doing something dumb. Which is good because⌠Dumb mistakes are sorta my thing.â She may have been reasonably smart, but thinking things all the way through had never quite been her strong point. âAnd none of that made sense, but in my defence⌠Iâm ninety nine percent certain that college is trying to kill me.â @ofcomcts
Wine glass in his hand Xanderâs eyes roamed around the full room, trying to find his match. Typically he was the type to take full advantage of a party, but being forced to one where he was going to apparently meet his âother halfâ wasnât ideal. He wasnât a monogamous type, and the person he was expected to marry, being chosen for him was anything except acceptable. Standing at the bar his eyes roamed before he decided to let her come to him. He wasnât the chasing type after all.Â
Turning back he bumped into someone else and chuckled. âYouâd think they had the whole town her by how crowded it was in here.â he said before looking over at the girl. âfind your other half yet?â @revolthqsmuses

Xander had been staring at Charlie for a while and although she was talking, he had to admit, he wasnât focused on what she was saying. Heâd always found her attractive, but for some reason, she seemed even more gorgeous tonight. Once they entered his suite she was caught off guard as he pulled her into his arms, their lips meeting softly.
