He wasn’t stalking, that wasn’t what this was. Hanjae was simply curious. At least that’s what he continued to tell himself as he skulked after some human within the shadows. Okay so it looked bad but he really did just want to know what he was up to. Normally after dark humans limited their outdoor time but had been following this one for awhile. Finally he figured it was time to get to the bottom of this one, whatever that may be. The ghoul slipped from the shadows unceremoniously, accidentally tripping over the curb and almost crushing his front teeth. Thankfully he caught himself and when he sheepishly glanced up at the human whose path he’d just crossed he only grinned. “So- I WAS following you this whole time and that introduction was supposed to be a lot edgier. What are you doing out so late?”

She might never get to.

Taking note of the slight change in her aura, Derek immediately felt a pang of guilt run through his body for asking such a question. “Oh, I’m sorry ‘bout that”, he replied, careful to avoid the latter or himself to feel any worse. “But hey, have you ever thought about a little escape?
