"And I'm not?" Drevyn snapped back, as Ariel's words had awoken him from his light sleep. Even though it was seconds too late, he knew he shouldn't snapped the way he did. Ariel, of all people was among the people who pretty much hadn't slept while trying to get leads on Ryder's whereabouts. "Well," he grumbled before turning over, "we'll talk about it in the morning. All you can do now is sleep."

I wish it could have been done differently, but it’s what happened and there’s nothing any of us can do about it. We’re done." He gestured to the door of his office, giving Quinn, Ariel and Tye permission to leave.

Then, the grounder looked up and nodded, a signal for her partner in this little mission to make his move. He hit the ground right behind Raven, falling and landing effortlessly from the trees above. With some form of groan as he wrapped his arms around the mechanic, he grasped onto her tight, but chose to stay quiet.

"What do you think he's going to do or say?" Quinn instantly knew that this was all about where she and Drevyn stood. He knew they had a strong relationship and he also knew how Drevyn would respond. "You can be. He doesn't control your emotions, you know? You do."

"ARIEL!" Drevyn screamed and it was heard above everything else. He used his wolf speed to catch her before she fell and the tears had already began to fall. He knew that there was literally nothing he could do to keep her alive, so he sat with her, holding her until she went.
